Absolutely amazing. Today at 11.30am I called BBC Radio Northampton and asked if there was any chance of getting a mention for my WW1 novel 'Coming Home'. Instead they asked me to bring the book and audio version to their studio and we did a 25 minute interview at 2.15pm. I also received great plugs for my other books including my latest which is not yet quite ready publishing.

I watched TV yesterday in remembrance of the men who sacrificed their lives in The Great War, and after writing two books on the subject was still stunned into humility at their bravery. Long may they be remembered. We are making plans for a four day coach trip to the Western Front in October this year to pay our respects. Although, to my knowledge, I do not have any relatives who died in battle during the conflict I can leave a token of respect at the graves of the unknown warriors.
Hi, I am still working on my latest book, but would like to mention my first book 'Coming Home. set during WW1. This book is as close to the truth and horrors of WW1 as the written word can get. With 60 reviews and priced at £1.25 it is a must read for anyone interested in the history of Europe. Please read the book description and then make up your own mind, thank you.
Okay, first things first, I have a confession to make. I previously stated I assisted Katie Bedsted producing 'A Masquerade of Hearts' This is untrue, I am the author. I was advised the use of a ladies name as author might help sell a romance. This may well prove to be true, the thing is, I struggled with the deception. People have told me as an established author I have no need to write under a different name therefore the book will be released in Aug/Sept this year with Roy E Stolworthy as author. I deeply apologise for any confusion I have caused, thank you.
Hi everyone,
A quick update on 'A Masquerade of Hearts' the novel I told you of in my last post. I am in the throes of a last read through before I hand the story back to the author, Katie Bedsted, for a final proofread. This is a cracker of a story bound to keep you glued to the pages. Katie now has her own facebook page and will welcome friends. Still enjoying my break and have reduced the prices of my books.
Hi,
After writing six books in four years I am going to take a few months off. Maybe do some reading and reviews for friends who have helped me in the past. I shall be happy to chat if anyone would like to leave a message. I might add that in conjunction with a lady romance author we have almost finished a work titled 'A Masquerade of Hearts' which shall be promoted under her name, Katie Bedsted. It is a light hearted romance between two pensioners both set in their ways. Plenty of laughs and tears along with a few uncompromising situations as two opposites try to make it into the sunset together. I am pleased with the outcome, and will keep you posted on the books progress as it develops. I hope my books continue to sell and give pleasure to readers. As you probably know Coming Home is available in paperback & hardback in UK libraries and audio will follow in June 2014. I have recently seen an upsurge in sales in the U.S, which is always pleasing. I have many friends over there who have been very kind and helpful in my writing career. Take care and speak later. Hooray, at last Echoes of Madness is out on release in e-book and paperback. So sorry for the delay and I hope you take the time to enjoy the read. Thank you for your patience. Please let me know your reaction to this book and I certainly hope it has the same wonderful success enjoyed by Coming Home.
There has been a slight hold-up with the release of Echoes of Madness therefore the release has been put back a few days later. Sorry, I will keep you informed of further changes.
Hi everyone,
At last my publisher has pulled his finger out and amended all their errors in 'Coming Home' What I find so surprising is the amount of time it took, almost 6 months. However, it is done and I've been assured that the book is the best it can be. I hope it continues to sell as well as in the past. I'm hoping to release 'Echoes of Madness on Friday-Saturday 14th 15th, fingers crossed. I let you know more on the day. |
