Been so busy lately I've hardly had time to update my blog.
I sold my first book in India recently, 'The Dancing Boy, so I'm over the moon. Well winters on the way and we have had the central heating overhauled and power flushed ready for the price hikes for gas & electricity. Spent a lot of time on the garden this year and its looking good. A couple of weeks ago out of the blue I received an e'mail from an unknown 2nd cousin who has traced the Stolworthy family tree back as far as the 17th century. i knew little of my father so it came as quite a shock to see photos of past relationships, we are having a reunion in November. One of the first things I did when i learned how to use a computor was write my bio. A traditional publisher offered to publish the work but at the last moment i pulled out. My past life has been quite eventful, and I decided to leave the past buried and not rake up so many bad memories. Whoops, what am i saying, I'm happy with my life, I'm happy with my writing, I'm happy if you enjoy my writing, why let others upset me .
My partner Janice and i enjoyed a break on the Suffolk coast at a small place called Kessingland, two minutes from the sea and we passed the pub on the way, great for a drink and meal. I saw a sign saying Rider Haggard Lane and made enquiries. Rider Haggard was the author of King Solomons Mines and lived in a cottage close to the sea where he rode out every day, i couldnt find the cottage though, shame.
My new book 'Echoes Of Madness' set during 1916-18 is well on the way to completion, then the editing and hard graft begins. i would like to release this book next year, the 100th anniversary of WW1. Well, Tommy my cocker spaniel is giving me the evil eye for his walk. Good talking to you, take care and god bless
